Surprising Truths About The Gender Pay Gap


You may believe that the gender pay gap is all about men vs. women. However, it’s more than that. The pay males make in comparison to what females is determined by a lot of different factors, such as experience, education, and even location.

This infographic, compiled by, a job board which gives members access to the most sought after medical sales jobs and pharmaceutical sales jobs on the Web, shows the gender pay gap across the board. Some points to note include:

  • In 2012, only 14.3% of Fortune 500 executives were women
  • After 10 years or more in the job market, the median male MBA graduate earned about $242,000; the median female earned just $146,000
  • Women hold only 27 percent of all computer science jobs
