There are so many job search resources available to you. Some are crowded, some are empty, some are worth your time but using multiple resources is the best advice.
Tweet ThisSo, what can you do? Using company career sites in the most effective way is a four-step process:
- Find the companies where you would like to work and visit their job sites
- Find the jobs that match your profile BUT – do not apply yet
- Use LinkedIn (don’t tell me that you are not on LinkedIn), and find people in
your network that are either working for the company or are linked to someone who is working for the company - Ask that individual to personally submit your resume for that position
Why? Your application has a much better chance of being reviewed and considered if it is submitted by someone who works for the company.
