“The only place where success comes before work is in the dictionary.” – Donald Kendall
I know I’m dreaming, because I’m fresh out of school with “the world at my doorstep” and visions of grandeur about being Chief Executive Officer by the time I’m 30 years old. I have thousands of people working for me and my speaking engagements alone keep me incredibly busy. My office is the size of a large apartment and my administrative assistant has an administrative assistant! But wait, what’s that ringing sound way off in the background? It’s getting louder and . . .it’s almost like one of those dreams where you are falling and just when you are about to hit the ground you bounce in bed and on the second or third bounce I realize that the ringing sound is my alarm clock. Okay, time to get out of bed and join the real world (at least my real world). Not all of us will grow up to be Chairman of the Board. That’s okay, because not all of us want to have that type of responsibility. But no one starts at the top and for those that wind up at the top, it is usually due to hard work. Many, many years of hard work. Speaking of work and success, time to continue with job leads (over 4,000 job opportunities) from the Fortune 500 so you can continue your climb to the top (be it the 2nd floor or the 45th floor).
