Who’s Hiring from the “Best Companies” Vol VIII

The best part about the “Best Companies” list is that many of the companies are not as well known as say, the Fortune 500. There are both advantages and disadvantages to this, but the fact that they are great companies to work for outweighs most of the disadvantages (if not all). Everyone of these companies reviewed so far have active job opportunities on their website. “Not as well known” gives job seekers an opportunity (not as many applying for jobs).

TDIndustries – Ranked 37, this company is a construction company and is based in Dallas, Texas. Jobs increased by 7% last year and now stands at about 1,700 employees. There is not much on the Careers page other than a very brief overview of the company. Click on “Apply Now” to be taken to the online application process. There does not appear to be a search function. There were 25 job openings as of mid-January.
Paychex – Paychex provides Payroll and HR services and is ranked 39 on this year’s list (up from 51). Based in Rochester, NY, they have over 12,000 employees and added 579 new jobs last year! Their careers page offers a number of choices – Sales, All Other Jobs, Register and Apply now. There were 144 job openings as of mid-January.
EOG Resources – Based in Houston, Texas, EOG is an Oil and Gas producer. They have over 2,100 employees globally and added an amazing 418 jobs last year. Their career page has a company overview, with links to Job Search, College Recruiting and Benefits. There were 14 job opportunities available when I checked. Clicking on any job will show the job description and will allow registration as well as resume upload.
Camden Property Trust – Ranked 41 on this year’s list (up from 50 last year), this apartment home developer has over 1,800 employees and added 18 new jobs last year. Their career page offers information on the company and their benefits. “Search Jobs” is a link on the left hand side of the page where you can browse open jobs, search open jobs or edit your profile. There were 63 job opportunities when I checked using a simple search.
