If you are out of work in this ever-shrinking economy you definitely want to take a look at opportunities in the fastest growing companies. This is the 3rd installment for this topic which focuses on Fortune’s “Fastest Growing Companies” list.
- Atwood Oceanics – This company focuses in offshore drilling ans was ranked number 8 on the list (up from 53 on last year’s list, so still growing). You must visit this company’s home page and click on “employment opportunities” on the left hand side of the page to get to their career site. Once on the careers page, their are links at the top for information regarding salary and benefits. One more click (the page will explain this) to get to the list of jobs (this appears to be run for them by a third party). You can post your resume and search for jobs from the left hand side of the page. Current openings are listed at the bottom of the page.
- Intuitive Surgical – Ranked 9 on this year’s list, surgical robots is what this company does, and their career page is way easier to get to. The main career page has quite a bit of information on the company in the main section of the page. The left hand side of the page has links for company benefits and career opportunities. This link leads to a page which offers several ways to access the job listings. “All Posted Jobs” is probably the way to go here (there were about 30 job openings when I checked). I did not see a specific link for resume submission, but clicking on any of the jobs will get you there (bottom of the page) where you can submit your resume.
- Freeport-McMoRan – Copper and Gold are the main products for this company, ranked 10 on this year’s list (up from 19). The main career page has some background information on the company, followed by links for How do I Apply and Trade Jobs. The left hand side of the page has links for Trade Jobs, Professional Jobs and International Jobs. Click on your job type arrive at the listings page. Once here you can add a profile and search for jobs.
- Darling International – Ranked 11 (and not on the list last year), this company “Recycles food industry’s waste and grease into ingredients for pet food, paint, soap, and more” according to Fortune Magazine. It will be a quick visit to this company’s career site which consists of a web-form submission (and that is it).
- General Cable – Ranked 12 (up from 37) on the list, this company makes copper, fiber-optic, and aluminum wire. The career site provides a brief overview of the company followed by a link to search current career opportunities. Clicking on this link leads to a search engine for their opportunities. Clicking on any job will show additional detail and the ability to submit an application via Careerbuilder.com who manages their recruitment site.
Good luck in your search.
