Amazingly, there seems to be a job board for just about every profession and diversity. Keep in mind that you can also use the standard job boards to target specific professions/industries, although it is nice to visit dedicated sites as well. I’ve added a few more for today’s list.
- Warehouse Jobs – The site had 10,000 plus warehouse jobs listed when I first checked. You can search by State, and by category (at the top of the page). There is also a list of related searches (such as Distribution Jobs, Driver Jobs, Logistics Jobs, etc.). There is an advanced search on the main page so that you can focus your search, plus, there is a list of recently posted jobs. This looks like a search site only, there does not seem to be a function for posting your resume or creating search alerts.
- Apartment Careers – Who would have thought that there was a dedicated job board for the Apartment Industry (I didn’t even know there was an Apartment Industry). The tag line for this site is “The Leading online source for jobs in the Apartment Industry” (does that mean there are more?). All joking aside, You can log in and post your resume or just search for jobs. There’s a tab for resources and the first page has a “featured employer” link. The Job Seeker page has quite a few links to help you manage your search.
- JobsinManufacturing.com – This site focuses on more than just Manufacturing jobs. There is also a focus on related fields such as Purchasing, Maintenance, Transportation, etc. You can register on the site or just conduct a search. The main page has a very long list of the companies that post jobs to this site, categorized by what they do (broadly). The main page also has a listing of resources (on the left). The job seeker page has an advance search function and is similar to other sites (with additional filters for salary). Featured employers are listed down the right and left hand sides of the page.
- Showbizjobs.com – The “Entertainment Professional’s Network“! The first page is simple, pick “Job Seekers”. The Job Seekers’ page has a search function (category, region and keyword) on the left with a “browse” function (by Company, posting date and Industry). There is a blog as well as a log in function. There is also a “map” function which allows you to map the location of any job leads.
Good luck in your search.
