Search Millions of Jobs Right Now!

Catchy headline, and if you sign-up for every job search engine available that’s exactly what you’ll have – millions of jobs to sort through.  The list of job search sites on our list at the moment (Job Search Sites (updated 11/23/08)) now stands at approximately 40+/-.  The point is not to sign-up for every job board site (not sure you would have the time), but to sign up for those sites that you find the most useful in your search.  Don’t forget, you can search on most of these sites without signing up.  Some additions for today follow.

  • Jobgeni.com – Jobgeni is a “job aggregator”.  What it does is to pull jobs from several major job search sites (not sure how many) on a realtime basis.  You can search by sector or by location.  You can also refine your search by adding a keyword.  This is a search site only, you do not submit your resume.
  • JobCircle.com –  This site focuses on the the Mid-Atlantic region.  You can submit your resume, browse jobs, browse the Career Development section, browse all of the employers on the site and take a look at job fairs (which lists upcoming fairs).  The site is well done, there is even a feature that allows you to apply to several jobs at the same time.  Last, but not least, there is an option to record a voice intro to your resume.
  • HotGigs.com – HotGigs is a different type of job search site.  It matches consultants, staffing firms and hiring companies. This is an excellent site for contract consultants to find clients and consulting jobs.  You join the site, similar to other job boards.  Once you are a member, you can add resumes, keep track of you contacts and keep track of submissions.
  • School-jobs.net – This site focuses on jobs for teachers.  You can post your resume and search for jobs. The purpose of the site is to match teachers, administrators and support staff with jobs and schools. You can search by area of expertise, location and salary.  There are also jobs posted for other countries.

Good luck in your search.
