Eat, Drink & be Diligent (& Thankful – after you’ve found a Job!)

Happy Thanksgiving!  Whether you are out of work, working but looking, or just stressed by the current economic crisis, there is always something to be thankful about. Today’s post will review some additional company career sites.

  • Allianz – Allianz’ main businesses are Insurance, Asset Management and Banking. They have over 180,000 employees spread over 70 countries. Their career site provides links to company information on the left-hand side (with similar links on the bottom).  You can click the “WorldwideJobs@Allianz” link at the bottom of the careers page, you select your country.  You can submit for specific jobs, although I did not see a link for registering on the site.
  • McGraw-Hill – Their main businesses are publishing and Standard & Poors. The career page provides company background, Diversity, Internships, Advanced Degrees and Experienced Hires.  You can conduct a job search, or click through to the part of the career site that pertains to you and enter your profile.
  • Viacom – Best known for MTV, BET Networks and Paramount, the career section is segregated along those businesses.  Once on this page, click on one of the business links.  As an example, Paramount has a “Job Opportunities” link at the bottom where you can search jobs and apply or register at the top of this page (where you can post a resume, a cover letter and complete your profile).
  • Ernst & Young – With worldwide staff of 135,000, they are best known for Audit work. E&Y also provides Advisory, and Tax services.  E&Y is on the “100 Best Companies to Work for” and “50 Best Places to Launch a Career”. Their careers page provides background on the firm and a link (at the bottom) to choose your location. From there you can select “For Students”, “For Experienced” or “Job Search”.  You can add a profile as well.

Good luck in your search.
