This post is a “mix and match” of assorted resources that I’ve been collecting over the last few weeks. Since there is no particular theme to these sites (other than they will all help with your career), lets go directly to the links.
- College Career Life – I wish I could say that I discovered this blog, but they discovered me. This blog focuses on College and career advice for students, recent grads and those changing careers. The topics are very interesting and well balanced, my favorite (so far) is Career Planning for Introverts. The “useful sites” links are interesting and the “Blogs I Follow” lists several blogs which are interesting as well.
- Desperately Seeking Workers – This AOL page lists the top 10 companies hiring this week based on job postings. The site will recommend jobs based on criteria that you enter (such as zip code). The site also lists the top 10 part-time jobs and “recession proof” jobs.
- Bnet.com – The “go-to place for management”, the site offers a wide range of business related articles which can be leveraged in researching industries and companies as you decide where you would like to work. The “business library” tab includes career related articles as well.
- Salary Center – Another AOL page, this site offers a salary calculator, salary advice and information as well as median salary by industry. Lastly, the “Featured Companies” lists companies that are looking for employees.
Good luck in your search.
